The stories we tell ourselves matter.
Whether we are reflecting on childhood memories or reliving the events of the day, how we frame our experiences shape the realities that we are in.
To think, that wherever you are right now, and however you feel about it, they key player in your present circumstance is you.
It needs to be asked, how does reflecting on your here and now make you feel?
Many might say to, "Hold that thought!" because they’re still waiting... still hoping
They're expect that their desired future will be materialize in time.
The first tactical step demands a more involved approach.
Waiting to be in the right place, or for the right time. Discounting the potential in present moments, all the while, willing future events into existence. We might not like our realities now, but that’s okay. We’re holding out for some moment in time, in the future. Tomorrow is worth betting today on. We readily sacrifice our days, for an idealized tomorrow.
Years go by, and for some of us, that “tomorrow” could still be close enough to touch, but somehow still far beyond our reach.
Who do we blame?
At what point do we comes to terms with the fact that we’re playing the misery game?
Tomorrow isn’t achieved in waiting.
Tomorrow is actively shaped in the choices and actions that we take today.
Every day.
Our energy creates our realities and shapes our tomorrows.
Hoping for change bears little reward, if we are not equally prepared to make change happen.
If you’ve been waiting on tomorrow for a while, and see no change on the horizon, it’s time to take the first tactical step and rethink your energy strategy.
There are dreams that we can entertain, halfheartedly. Those secret wishes that we keep buried, because we’re too afraid to take ourselves seriously. After all, who are we? To dream? To want more than what reality presents? We talk ourselves out of pursuing what we know matters to us the most. It’s better to stay stable on solid ground instead. No amount of reasoning influences the desires we carry in our hearts and in our minds.
What do we have to work with, then?
The past no longer exists, and the future is uncertain.
All to say, the future leaves room for us to shape and shift our dreams into existence. It depends on what we do with our inner wants today?
Do we bury them or satisfy them.
To we talk ourselves out of the race, or courageously take the first step?
Either way, it’s up to you to at the very least try.
Even if it’s a couple of hours spent every other Sunday, make room for your dreams.
Bring them into reality no matter how far fetched it seems.
And surprise yourself.
Always give yourself an opportunity to be surprised.
There was a time where Project Purpose was a name, I scribbled out in a journal, and today, she's my way of bringing positive change into the world.
Putting the energy you have today, towards the dreams you have for tomorrow is worth it.
